Psychological Determinants Considered in the Islamic Education Curriculum

Abstract

The starting point and objective of this research are to examine the most important psychological principles related to the curriculum in general, and the Islamic Education curriculum in particular—specifically the psychological determinants. It attempts to link psychology and the Islamic Education curriculum by highlighting their relationship, as these determinants are crucial for developing the teaching of Islamic Education and achieving quality. Using inductive, deductive, descriptive, and analytical methods, the research highlights that the educational relationship between psychology and the curriculum is based on psychological care for the learner. This includes addressing needs, abilities, and values appropriate to their developmental stages, individual and social differences, environment, and interests. The psychological determinants of the curriculum are based on considering the nature of the learner's growth stages, personality, and the principle of educational progression.
